The Wizard of Oz is famous for two things: gorgeous lighting, and light boards on early machines that fail. If your WOZ has dark patches or flickering sections, that is a known issue with known fixes, including upgraded replacement lighting hardware that settles it permanently. The mini playfields and ball magnets get a checkup on every visit too.

The Hobbit runs on theater. Pop-up beasts that jump out of the playfield, banks of drop targets, and Smaug watching over all of it. Those beast mechs and their switches are the usual service items. Every Jersey Jack machine runs on a computer driving a large LCD, wired to boards throughout the cabinet. That architecture is what makes these games possible, and it brings computer-style symptoms along with it. A machine that hangs at boot. A screen that stays black while the game plays blind underneath. Audio that cuts in and out. A storage drive that gives up after years of loyal service.

These faults look scary on a machine this valuable, and most of them are very manageable. Cables get reseated, drives get replaced and re-imaged, power supplies get tested, screens get repaired or swapped. Christian works through it methodically, right in your home.
