Terms of Service

Any number we give you by phone, text, email, or through the photo quote form is a good-faith estimate based on the information and photos you provide. A final offer or final price is made only after we inspect the machine in person. Photos are helpful, but they cannot show a rotted cabinet bottom, a hacked wiring harness, or a board full of battery corrosion. If the machine matches what you showed us, the number rarely changes. If it does not match, we will tell you why, in plain terms, before anything is signed or loaded. Every offer we make is a fast, no-obligation offer. You are free to say no at any point before money changes hands, and we will not pressure you.

When Tri-State Pinball buys a machine from you, we buy it as-is, in whatever condition it sits, working or not. By accepting our payment you confirm that you are the legal owner of the machine (or the authorized representative of an estate that owns it), that it is free of liens or claims, and that you have the right to transfer it. Payment is made at the time we take possession, and ownership transfers to Tri-State Pinball at that moment. Once a purchase is complete it is final for both sides: we will not come back asking for money if the machine turns out rougher than expected, and the machine is no longer yours to reclaim. When you book a pinball machine removal, you give our crew permission to enter the property, including basements, garages, attics, and outbuildings, for the purpose of moving the machine out. You agree to tell us in advance about anything that affects access: tight stairs, low ceilings, narrow doorways, locked gates, dogs, or a machine that is not where you said it was. Machines are heavy, and honest information up front is how everyone stays safe. We take real care with railings, drywall, floors, and door frames, and we bring the right equipment for hard access jobs. We are responsible for the actions of our own crew. We are not responsible for damage that existed before we arrived, or for problems caused by conditions you did not disclose. In many cases we can haul a machine away at no cost, and if the machine is worth money we pay you. Either way, the terms of the job are agreed before we start.

Repair estimates, including for Bally, Williams, Stern, Data East, and Jersey Jack machines, are estimates until we diagnose the machine. Pinball machines, especially older ones, can have layered problems: fixing one fault sometimes reveals another that was hiding behind it. We will always tell you what we found and get your go-ahead before the scope of work grows. Some vintage parts are scarce, and sourcing them can affect timing. We stand behind our workmanship on pinball repair jobs; ask about our warranty when you book, and we will spell out exactly what it covers for your machine. If something we worked on is not right, call us first and give us the chance to make it right.

Machines listed on our pinball machines for sale page are described honestly, including known flaws. You are welcome to inspect and play a machine before you commit. A machine is reserved for you only once we have both agreed on the deal and we have received payment or an agreed deposit. Title passes to you when payment is complete. Delivery is available and is scheduled with you in advance; delivery terms, including who is present and where the machine is going in the building, are agreed before the truck rolls. Ask about our warranty on machines we sell, and ask us anything about a machine's history before you buy. Listings can change or come off the market at any time; a listing on the website is not a guarantee of availability.

Rental machines for parties and events are delivered, set up, and picked up by us on a schedule we agree to together. You are responsible for the machine while it is in your care. Normal wear from honest play is expected and is on us. Damage from abuse, spilled drinks inside the cabinet, tampering with the coin door or boards, or moving the machine yourself is your responsibility, billed at the fair cost of repair. Do not relocate a rental machine without calling us; that is how cabinets and backs get broken. You agree to provide a standard grounded outlet and a dry, indoor location unless we agree otherwise in writing.

We work to keep this site accurate, but inventory, availability, and service details change. Content on this site, including photos of our work and machines, belongs to Tri-State Pinball and may not be reused commercially without permission.

We perform every service with reasonable skill and care. To the fullest extent New York law allows, Tri-State Pinball is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from our services or this website, and our total liability for any job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that cannot be worked out over the phone like neighbors will be handled in the courts of Orange County, New York.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted on this page is the one in effect, and the date below tells you when it last changed.
